CLASSICAL music lovers have something to be excited about again, as the Pipe Organ Plus 10th Anniversary Concert Season kicks off in Fremantle this month.
The Basilica of St Patrick will be filled with the sounds of angelic music, with the first in the series, the Easter-themed Resurrection, kicking off on Sunday, March 21.
Acclaimed musician Dominic Perissinotto will lead the performances for the season, combining with the Giovanni Consort for the opening show.
Resurrection will take audiences through a musical reflection on the Christian journey from Lent to Easter.
The show will include organ music by Bach, Grigny and Tournemire.
Other performances throughout the season include a solo concert by Perissinotto called Exhibition and a performance with WASO principal trumpet David Elton called Fireworks.
Each concert runs for two hours from 2.30pm on Sundays and includes complimentary refreshments at interval.
Tickets are $30 for adults, with concession prices available, and can be booked by calling 9484 1133.
The Gazette has two double passes for Resurrection to give away to celebrate the opening of the season.
