CALABRESE Pizza serves fresh Italian food at prices that would please the fussiest of diners. The family friendly restaurant in Connolly makes a variety of pizza and pasta as well as a range of delicious desserts.
Chicken parmigana served with salad and fries is a particular favourite, and the fettuccini with prawns in creamy garlic sauce is also popular.
There are more than 15 types of pizzas to choose from, including meat lovers, Mexican and Viking volcano – which consists of beef, bacon, capsicum, onion, tomato, mushrooms, jalapenos and chilli flakes.
The seafood pizzas are also a delight, such as the Portofino with bacon, prawns, tomato and mushrooms, or the Marina made up of crab, mussels, prawns, anchovies and garlic.
A new delight on the menu are the raacini balls, which are deep-fried rice balls filled with cheese – yum!
The restaurant makes some fantastic desserts, such as dessert pizzas and Italian ice cream and sorbet.
Patrons can enjoy the savings from a range of specials, including the Lovers Lane special of a large pizza, pasta, garlic bread and drink for only $27, or the Me Myself and I special of small pizza, garlic bread and drink for $15.
Wednesdays are also popular with large pizzas for only $12 and families can enjoy the savings of the Family Feast – two large pizzas, two pastas, two garlic breads and two drinks for only $65.
