THE Clydesdale Dining recipe for success combines a delicious three-course meal with the sights and sounds of Fremantle, a traditional horse-drawn dining carriage, a touch of nostalgia and, of course, two dashing Clydesdale horses.

Owners Alan Day and John Vadala have clearly spent a lot of time and effort thinking out every detail.

Their vision started about two years ago when they realised the city of Fremantle was the perfect location to introduce the Clydesdale Dining experience.

It seems that their vision has paid off, as a meal enjoyed aboard the cosy dining carriage, which comfortably seats 15 is an experience unlike any other.

As well as a three-course meal freshly prepared by Café Panache at The Esplanade Hotel, passengers are treated to views of the historic port city, including the popular coffee strip, the Round House, Notre Dame University, Fisherman’s Wharf and more.

Although the business began just a few weeks ago, Clydesdale Dining has enjoyed great success with diners and locals alike.

The Clydesdale horses are particularly popular. The sight of the two magnificent animals causes such a stir that passengers cannot help but feel like celebrities.

Seating is comfortable and it seems no expense has been spared in recreating the old world charm of a historic carriage with a modern twist.

When it comes to the meal, diners are spoilt for choice, with three delicious entrees, mains and desserts on offer.

The chicken caesar salad, grilled barramundi and Pavlova custard cream with berry compote and strawberry is one particularly satisfying option.

The leisurely pace set by the horses allows those on board to savour their food. With Clydesdale Dining doing all the legwork, all diners have to do is sit back and enjoy the ride.

Address: The dining carriage departs from The Esplanade Hotel, corner Essex and Marine
Terrace, Fremantle.

Sounds a 'fun'tastic idea for absolutely any occasion, whether it be a special one or just something unusual. It will no doubt prove very popular, for those who require something out of the ordinary, or maybe even those wanting a little nostalgia! I shall be making enquiries myself.
Thank you for making us aware of this excellent dining alternative.
